SEATTLE — A man was arrested earlier this month after investigators he punched a Downtown Seattle restaurant’s window and caused thousands of dollars in damages.

On Feb. 8, officers responded to the Lodge Bar and Grill on Fourth Avenue after a report of property damage.

When police arrived, witnesses told officers as they were dining, a man who was walking outside started glaring at them, according to a police report.

Investigators said the man slammed the window with his fist and shattered it. One of the witnesses had minor cuts from the broken glass.

The man then left the scene.

Two days later, officers returned to the Lodge after staff reported seeing the same man outside of the restaurant.

An officer contacted the man, who was later positively identified as Dustin Gerald Timmer, and arrested him.

According to the police report, Timmer stated that he never goes to the Lodge but then said he has been there three times.

The cost of repairs and replacement to the restaurant’s broken window was about $6,500 to $7,500.

Timmer was charged with first-degree malicious mischief.
