Investigation underway after gunfire, 1 injured in West Seattle

SEATTLE — An investigation is underway after one person was injured after shots were fired Thursday night in West Seattle.

It happened at Westwood Village.

Firefighters said they treated one person and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

Police said a 24 Hour Fitness gym was being dismantled when a dispute occured inside. At some point shots were fired and a man was injured.

It is not known whether the man was struck by a bullet or by broken glass, police said.

No other injuries were reported and no one was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
