TACOMA, Wash. — An investigation is underway after a fatal collision involving a teen Thursday night in Tacoma.
Officers were called to the area of Pacific Avenue and South 43rd Street where a teen died and a light pole was taken out.
Police said a car heading north on Pacific Avenue struck an empty vehicle parked on the east side of the road.
Police later confirmed that a 17-year-old boy had died.
No one else was injured.
Law enforcement closed Pacific Avenue in both directions between South 45th and South 43rd streets.
