Forecast: Pockets of snow, areas of rain

This morning most areas are around the freezing mark, so be careful and watch for ice.

Forecast summary:

  • Calming down
  • Mixed showers Tuesday
  • Rain continues at times

We still have a narrow band of convergence over parts of Seattle and east of the city.  More convergence is still possible for the next few hours, but this particular zone will continue to decrease for lighter and lighter snow showers that will eventually end later this morning.

Above a few hundred feet we'll see some additional light accumulation, but below that I expect it to be wet snow that shouldn't stick to the main roads, but probably some side roads.

From there I expect just a few showers here and there with temps warming into the low to mid-40s. The snow level should rise to about 1,000' this afternoon, with a few more scattered showers and gusty to breezy weather this afternoon.

On Wednesday we'll see scattered showers and warmer temps in the mid to upper-40s with breezy conditions.  Look for more rain and about normal temps for Thursday and Friday. Saturday we'll see more rain, but some wet snow may work its way in. The better chance for that is on Sunday. We'll keep you in the loop.
