KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — A 31-year-old Kitsap County man has been arrested after ramming a Bremerton officer’s patrol car and leading police on a chase.
Police said at about 4:19 a.m., officers spotted a stolen Chevy Blazer on South National Avenue and Charleston Beach Road, where the driver “intentionally rammed” an officer’s patrol vehicle. That led to a chase.
While the driver was being chased, police said he hit another patrol car.
As the chase continued, another officer used his patrol vehicle to cause the driver to spin. This occurred at Kitsap Way between Oyster Bay and National Avenue, which is where three officers used their vehicles to block the driver.
Police then arrested the man, whom they said had on body armor.
No injuries were reported from the incident, but Washington State Patrol is investigating the collision involving four Bremerton police vehicles.
The man was booked into the Kitsap County Jail for driving under the influence, a felony warrant from Kitsap County for domestic violence - second-degree assault, and three counts of first-degree assault. His bail was set at $300,000.
