SEATAC, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says the driver was hit by another car that was trying to avoid traffic ahead of them.

The patrol car was sitting on the shoulder of I-5 going south near 188th St. in SeaTac.

The patrol car’s emergency lights were on while it was parked.
