Driver dies after losing control of car on SR 106 in Mason County

SKOKOMISH, WASH. — Washington State Patrol (WSP) says that a driver died after losing control of their car on SR 106 on Christmas Eve.

Troopers say that the driver lost control while driving eastbound near Skokomish.

The car veered to the left side of the road before landing in a nearby ditch.

WSP says the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
