Disgraced doctor Larry Nassar back in court

Disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar is back in a Michigan Courtroom even though he's already been sentenced to up to 175 years in prison.

It was a different courtroom, but there were similar stories from young women about how Nassar abused them under the guise of medical treatment.

"This time for 30 minutes he inserted his finger into me and grunted while I lay there terrified,” said Jessica Thomashow.

This hearing centers on assaults from the elite Twistars Gymnastics Club.

“I have never been more disgusted or angry towards the people that let this go on" added Erin Blayer.

Bree Randall, now of Kirkland, filed one of the first criminal complaints to Meridian Township Police in Michigan in 2004.

She was 17 when she went to Nassar treat her scoliosis.

KIRO 7 spoke with her exclusively earlier this week.

“I immediately knew something was wrong,” Randall said,

According to the report, she was alone on her second visit, when Nassar began to massage her vagina and breasts and said "I bet people at physical therapy don't do this."

She told police "she was "scared" and "uncomfortable" while Nassar was touching her in places other than her back. She thought it was "weird" and it "freaked her out."

She also completed a rape kit.

When police interviewed Nassar two weeks later, he admitted to touching her private area but told police it was a medical technique known as the "sacrotuberous ligament release."

He also gave police a Powerpoint presentation he'd made on the procedure.

After that, the detective dismissed the case even after Randall's mother expressed concern saying she was "...troubled by the fact that Dr. Nassar did not wear latex gloves while performing said procedure."

According to the detective’s notes, "The doctor was using a medically accepted technique for the alleviation of pain. No crime was committed."

“A lot of my anger stems from the lack of response from the police,” explained Randall. “What he did to me was awful and that’s affected me as well. But the lack of response was extremely hurtful.”

Randall said police even asked her to meet with Nassar again so he could explain how she misunderstood the treatment.

She refused and wouldn't face him again until last week in court.

Meridian Township paid for her flight from Seattle.

City officials also will also issue a public statement and apology Thursday for dismissing Randall's accusation that she was sexually assaulted by Nassar.
