Deputies search for attempted murder suspect after shooting in South Hill

SOUTH HILL, Wash. — Pierce County Sheriff's deputies are searching for attempted murder suspect Tony French, who officials said is believed to have shot his ex-girlfriend Friday morning outside of her residence in the South Hill, Washington area near Frederickson. 

French is described as a 39-year-old male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 210 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. 
The Sheriff's Department said deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the 16000 block of 69th Ave. Ct. E. at 7:24 a.m. after witnesses reported seeing a male suspect fire around 10 shots out of a dark colored sedan at a female victim.
French is believed to have fled the scene in a 2005 Toyota Corolla with Oregon license plate number 955HEE, officials said.

Deputies have identified French as the suspect, and said they found an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds in the driveway of her residence.

The 16000 block of 69th Ave. Ct. E. is located about 2.5 miles west of Pierce County Airport - Thun Field.
