Deputies book 2 for attempted burglary in Kitsap County

(Kitsap County Sheriff's Office)

KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — Two men were arrested Thursday on suspicion of attempted burglary in Kitsap County.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to a report of an attempted burglary on Pine Road Southeast in the Burley area.

A homeowner called 911 after she saw two men on her Ring video approach her front door with hoodies pulled over their heads on a sunny day, deputies said. When deputies arrived, the men were gone.

Officials said while deputies did a search, a second 911 call came from across Highway 16. A neighbor witnessed a man with a dark blue hoodie over his head peering into windows and prowling around a home near the 15600 block of Cedar Park Road Southeast.

Deputies located the men and were able to identify them from the Ring video viewed from the previous home, officials said.

Deputies said the men could not give a reason why they were at the homes, and after a check of their histories, deputies found a list of arrests for other crimes the men had committed.

The men had warrants and were booked into jail.
