HOQUIAM, Wash. — Two drivers were uninjured and a passenger was transported to the hospital following a rollover crash in Hoquiam on Tuesday.
The Hoquiam Police Department said officers and crews with the Hoquiam Fire Department responded to the collision at the base of the Simpson Avenue Bridge at 10th and Simpson Avenue just before 8 p.m.
Police said an 18-year-old man driving a 2007 Dodge Ram was struck by a 69-year-old woman driving a 2011 Toyota Scion.
"The force of the collision caused the pickup truck to spin 180 degrees and up and over the concrete barrier on the south side of the Simpson Avenue Bridge," Hoquiam police said.
Officials said the driver of the Dodge Ram and an 18-year-old passenger were found alert and standing in the cab of the truck and climbed out of the passenger window with help from the Hoquiam Fire Department.
The 18-year-old passenger was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital for a minor, non-life-threatening injury and the 69-year-old driver of the Toyota was uninjured, police said.
