A couple in their 70s was hurt in what Seattle police say was a possible road rage shooting Thursday.

It happened as the couple was driving in West Seattle around 8:15 a.m. and honked at a driver in a white van, who was driving slowly in front of them.

The couple then went around the suspect’s van. When they stopped at a red light at the intersection of 16th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Holden Street, the driver of the van pulled up on the passenger’s side of the victims’ car, fired a shot at them, and then sped away, police said.

The couple was grazed by the bullet.

The victims then drove to the Southwest police precinct to report what happened and get treated for their injuries.

Police searched the area, but the suspect was not found.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Seattle police violent crimes tip line at 206-233-5000 or 911.
