A Bellevue condominium building has serious water damage after a roofing mishap. Twenty units are damaged and owners living in ten of them will have to move out during repairs.
Workers were putting a new roof on the Bellevue Park Condominiums on Labor Day weekend. The tarp they had on the roof blew off and rain water poured inside the two story building.
Residents woke up to see water pouring from their ceilings and down their walls.
"Everything is up in the air and I can't help but be stressed about the whole situation and getting really frustrated," said resident Rachel Gratton.
Gratton has had dehumidifiers running for a month and is still waiting to find out when they will need to move out so the repairs can be completed. The sheetrock and ceilings tested positive for asbestos so the people living in the ten units with the most damage will need to move out temporarily.
