A car has slammed into a fast food restaurant in the Des Moines area, injuring one person.
The crash happened at Church’s Chicken at 23839 Pacific Hwy S, at 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
The driver was transported to the hospital with a fractured leg and an arm injury. There is no sign that the driver was impaired, but the car clipped the inside of a curb, spun around, flew up onto the curb, struck a post and then crashed into the corner of the building.
Video from the scene showed that the car's airbag deployed and crash debris strewn across the area.
