All black cats -- even the ones with black spots and black specks and black stripes – are available for adoption to loving homes without adoption fees on Black Friday from Seattle Humane.
Black Friday is November 25, and the shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
"We’re promoting black cats because statistics reveal they spend more time in shelters," says Jenna Pringle, Seattle Humane marketing communications manager. "You’ll find that black fur is beautiful, and these pets are some of the most loving and expressive ones."
Seattle Humane staff recommend all family meet a prospective new pet. People looking to adopt meet with an adoption advisor. There are also several other color cats available at 13212 S.E. Eastgate Way in Bellevue. Dogs and other animals, too.
Seattle Humane was started in 1897 in Seattle and moved to Bellevue in the 1970s.
Adoption fees normally range from $25 to $125 depending on the cat’s age.View some of the many adoptable cats online at seattlehumane.org.
Through November 18, Seattle Humane adopted 5,126 cats and dogs in 2016.
