‘Bella,’ ‘Luna’ top list of most popular pet names in King County

KING COUNTY, Wash. — Regional Animal Services of King County has released its list of 2021′s top names for the county’s furry friends.

This list comes from pet license applications submitted to RASKC, which helped register 66,279 dogs and 27,020 cats in King County in 2021.

Together with Metropolitan King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn, the agency also issued a reminder of the importance of registering pets.

“Licensing your pet provides a level of assurance that if your beloved dog or cat ever becomes lost, you will have a helping hand to get them back home,” Dunn said. “In addition, the licensing fees covers the many humane services that RASKC provides, including investigation of animal cruelty and adoption services—so you know your dollars will go to help not only your own pet, but many others.”
