Fire crews responded to a car fire on the State Route 520 bridge over Lake Washington on Wednesday morning.
All westbound lanes of the bridge were blocked while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
The Washington State Patrol and WSDOT Incident Response Team also responded to the scene.
Vehicles used the right shoulder to get around the fire response during the closure.
That fire sparked after a three-vehicle crash occurred midway through the bridge just before 10 a.m.
All lanes of the bridge reopened by 10:50 a.m.
Drivers were advised to use caution and expect delays in the area during the closure.
