FORKS, Wash. — Fire has destroyed a Department of Natural Resources shop at the regional complex in Forks.
The fire that broke out shortly after midnight was contained to the shop in the middle of the six-building complex.
The maintenance and auto shop housed tools and equipment, including chainsaws and pumps used for land management.
The DNR said the building is a total loss.
Two trucks and a fire engine used to fight wildfires were also destroyed in the fire.
The DNR said a neighbor saw the flames and called firefighters.
Local authorities are investigating what sparked the fire.
No one was hurt.
