A pastor from Enumclaw had a lot of supporters in court Thursday as he faced charges that he raped a 10-year-old girl.
Malcom Fraser, an assistant pastor at Enumclaw’s Sound Doctrine Church, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The girl just recently came forward, seven years after the alleged crime.
Fraser had nearly a dozen supporters in court, who didn’t want to talk to KIRO 7.
Some angry former church members were also there. One said he knows the woman who made the accusation.
“She’s just working through a lot,” Josh Hembree said. “This is really a difficult time for her.”
Prosecutors said the attack happened when Fraser and his wife lived with the girl’s family.
