SEATTLE — Comcast is offering thousands of customers a refund for lost service, but you can't get the credit unless you ask.
Comcast thinks a construction worker clipped a fiber line Thursday in South Lake Union.
People all over Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood lost internet, TV, and landline phone capability to call 911 for more than eight hours.
Comcast decided against a blanket refund. If you lost Comcast service and want an XFINITY refund, call the company.
Comcast says it's looking into how the line was cut -- and how they can improve their response time, in the fture.
The Seattle Mayor's office posted about a consumer's rights during a cable outage.
“If you were one of the more than 33,000 households impacted by today's Comcast's widespread cable outage, you have some recourse under the franchise agreement and the City of Seattle's Cable Customer Bill of Rights,” the post says,
