Charges faced after brutal Georgetown gas station attack

Craig Anthony Jackson is charged with robbery and assault for a stabbing incident on Jan. 1, 2015.

SEATTLE — EDITOR'S NOTE: A previous version of this story had photos of two men. The photo of Craig Anthony Jackson was of a man with the same name, but he is not the man accused in this crime. The correct photo is above.

ORIGINAL STORY: Harold Eugene Lang is one half of the duo accused in the New Year's robbery and attack on a gas station clerk at the 76 station on Michigan Street.

Kashmir Sangha was stabbed 11 times.

The 65-year-old clerk lost one eye and was blinded in the other.

It's an attack so heinous, the prosecutor's office is now increasing the severity of the robbery and assault charges against Lang's alleged accomplice -- Craig Anthony Jackson -- who's expected in court tomorrow.

Each count against Jackson will now include a deliberate cruelty aggravator.

According to court documents, Jackson stabbed Sangha while Lang grabbed the cash drawer.

The 47-year-old with a criminal history, including drug and assault convictions, was arraigned today.

Lang pleaded not guilty to first degree robbery and first degree assault both with a knife.

Veteran Seattle Police officers again told KIRO 7 the surveillance video of the attack is too gruesome to release.

Both men allegedly confessed during questioning.
