Burglars ram fence, tear through walls in $100,000 pot heist

Police say burglars cut power, rammed fence, stole $100-thousand worth of pot from lab and grow op.

SEATTLE — Seattle police say two burglars rammed a fence, squeezed through vents and tore through walls to get to their goal -- $100,000 worth of pot products.

Police believe the burglars cut power to three adjacent South Seattle businesses in the 2000 block of 22nd Avenue South about 3 a.m. Tuesday and then rammed their way through a fence.

They then squeezed through vents to get inside the complex, which houses a medical marijuana lab and two medical marijuana grow operations.

Once inside, the burglars tore through the walls separating the businesses until they reached the medical lab’s freezer, which was stocked with processed marijuana concentrates. They filled several bags with pot products and then stole an employee’s car, which had been left overnight at the complex.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call 206-386-1855.
