ReachNow in Seattle is the first BMW car-share program in the country.
370 cars will make up the city fleet; 20 percent of them are BMW i3s, which are electric vehicles.
Reporter Nick McGurk asked BMW if its attempting to compete with existing car-sharing programs like Car2Go or if the company is going for a luxury experience.
The company said with plans to deliver the car to customers, its business model is unique.
The city of Seattle has a deal with BMW that allows it to park on city streets.
