No one was home when the fire broke out.

SEATTLE — A family of four will have to find a new place to live after their apartment was gutted by fire Monday night.

Firefighters were called to the fourplex in the 2000 block of 13th Avenue South in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood about 9:20 p.m.

Seattle fire said crews arrived to find flames visible from a lower floor window.  The fire was under control in 10 minutes.

A Seattle fire battalion chief said the fire started in the bedroom, and the unit is likely a total loss.
