Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin apologized for the Super Bowl touchdown celebration that resulted in a conduct penalty and a fine, ESPN reports.

Baldwin caught a three-yard touchdown pass against the New England Patriots in the third quarter. After the play, he dropped the ball and squatted, which made him look like he was sitting over a toliet.

"I do regret the fact that it cost my team 15 yards, and to the fans, ultimately I apologize to anybody I offended in any way," Baldwin said Monday night on 710 ESPN Seattle."It wasn't about that. I just think it was a competitive situation. So to all the 12s, all the fans, that's not what it's about. So I apologize to anyone if I offended you."

The touchdown led to a 24-14 Seahawks lead in the third quarter. But the Seahawks lost 28-24 after an interception on their final drive.
