Missing teen found safe in Burien

BURIEN, Wash. — After asking for the public's help in finding a teen who was missing from a drug and alcohol recovery center, the  King County Sheriff’s Office said the girl has been found safe.

Destiny Kindred, 14, was missing from Lakeside Milam since Friday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Kindred ran away from the recovery center with another person, but the other person returned Saturday.

Kindred was last seen getting into a car with three Hispanic men who promised to purchase her alcohol at the Jack in the Box on Ambaum Boulevard Southwest in Burien.

Police said Kindred was found Monday morning near the treatment center.

The girl's mother said the individuals she was with saw a report about her missing on the news and then drove her back to the area and dropped her off.
