BOTHELL, Wash. — More than 20 people were evacuated after an apartment building in Bothell caught fire, but some pets may have been trapped.
The Canyon Pointe apartments in the 1600 block of 228th Street Southeast caught fire about 3:45 a.m. Thursday.
Smoke could be seen from a Department of Transportation camera on Interstate 405 at State Route 527.
Emergency dispatchers said the fire reached two alarms and crews had to fight it defensively from the outside.
There are no reports of injuries.
When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting from two or three units. Four to six units were affected by the fire.
The Red Cross is assisting occupants displaced by the fire.
