SPANAWAY, Wash. — About 100 customers are without water service after a water main broke in Spanaway early Tuesday.
The main broke at 224th and 60th.
Neighbors told KIRO 7 they had been without water since about 2 a.m. They called Rainier View Water to find out what the problem was and were told it would take eight hours to repair the broken main.
But at 6:30 a.m., a crew member making repairs at the scene said they hoped to have service restored in a few hours.
The crew member said he had no idea what caused the main to break.
