KIRKLAND, Wash. — Two boats were found sinking early Monday morning at a Kirkland marina, said fire department officials.
Kirkland firefighters responded to 25 Lakeshore Plaza at 5:45 a.m.
When crews arrived, they found two boats sinking in the marina.
Two people were sleeping on one of the boats and a person passing by woke them up.
The two people escaped the sinking boat, but one suffered minor injuries
According to the Kirkland Fire Department, one of the boats had a large piece of transom broken off.
