    An evening dedicated to the environment, devastating impact of plastics, and small changes we can make.


    Pints & Public Lands Film Fest: An Earth Day Celebration

    Friday, April 19th

    7 pm

    Peddler Brewing Company 

    In this event for Earth Day, watch the film Run Wild, Run Free, which relates how the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act was created. Peddler will donate $1 per pint to Washington Wild's Brewshed Alliance. 


    Story Time: Celebrate Earth Day with Casey Ailes and the Super Heroes!

    This special Eco-friendly Earth Day storytime will feature the Super Heroes’ own book, other Eco stories, and plenty of ways that we all can help our beloved planet. There will also be an earth-friendly craft.





    National Park Free Days

    All National parks will waive their entrance fees for special occasions throughout the year, including April 20th - the First day of National Park Week.


    SCA Earth Day at Washington Park Arboretum

    Saturday, April 20th


    Join Student Conservation Association (SCA) and Washington Park Arboretum on Saturday, April 20th to restore Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle, WA. Volunteers will restore Washington Park Arboretum through removing invasive species, weeding collections, and mulching planting beds. Please email mhelms@thesca.org with questions.


    Arbor Day-Earth Day Family Festival

    Saturday, April 20th

    11 am–1:30 pm

    Lewis Creek Park Visitor Center Eastside

    Mark Bellevue's 28th year of being recognized as a Tree City USA community by the Arbor Day Foundation by helping plant trees in the park at this family-friendly festival. You can also collect "passport" stamps from various "eco-stations" to win prizes.


    Earth Day Run

    Saturday, April 20th

    10 am–1 pm

    Magnuson Park North Seattle

    Embrace your inner tree-hugger and come down to Magnuson Park for Seattle's greenest event! Each finisher will have a tree planted in their name plus a native tree to take home if you like. We will have organic snacks, prizes and a post race planting party. This is also one of our half marathon option events so you can get in the miles. Put on some green and see you there!

    Kidical Mass: Earth Day

    Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI)

    Kidical Mass is a fun, safe, easy-going, and law-abiding family bike ride for kids of all ages. It started circa 2008 in Eugene, Oregon, and has since spread to other bikey burgs, like Seattle!


    State Park Free Days

    If you don't have a Discover Pass but you still want to take in Northwest wildlife in all its evergreen-hued glory, take advantage of free admission to state parks on special days throughout the year, including April 22nd – Earth Day.

    The Works Seattle

    Are you part of #plantgang, a #plantlover, or a #plantsmakepeoplehappy kind of human? If you are, the Earth Day Plant Swap is for YOU! Connect with The Works plant gang community IRL! Healthy, pest-free plants of all sorts are welcome. Cuttings (also known as “starts”) and baby plants (“pups”), rooted or planted, are also good. Bring as many plants as you’d like to swap and get ready to make new friends (of both the human and plant varieties).


    Earth Month Beach Cleanup w/ Puget Soundkeeper at Myrtle Edwards Park

    Join Wayward and Puget Soundkeeper Alliance on Sat. April 27th from 10:30am-12:30pm at Myrtle Edwards park for and Earth month shoreline cleanup! Help take action removing plastic and debris from our waterways. All cleanup supplies will be provided. Email morgan@pugetsoundkeeper.org to RSVP and receive additional information on parking and meet up location.


    Earth Day Trail Cleanup: from Fremont to Ballard on the Burke Gilman trail

    Eco Collective

    This Earth month, we are doing our part to keep our trails and waterways clean by hosting a Trail Cleanup that goes from Gasworks park to our store. We bike the Burke Gilman trail almost every day, and it makes us so sad to see all the trash and litter that gets left behind.
