REDMOND, Wash. — Amazon announced Tuesday two new sites in Redmond to provide additional space for their growing company.
The first facility, located at 16331 NE 72nd Way, will be a 137,000 square foot office space, and will include more than 800 new roles on the Amazon AWS team, in addition to the 600 jobs announced last year.
The second, a new lab space for research and development to support Project Kuiper, will be a 22,000 square foot facility.
Project Kuiper is a project to increase global broadband access through the use of satellites.
