Seahawks sign Bobby Wagner to multi-year contract extension

The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a multi-year contract extension with middle linebacker Bobby Wagner.

Ian Rapoport reports the deal is a 3-year, $54 million dollar extension.

Wagner was entering the final year of a four-year, $43 million contract extension he signed in August 2015.
 
The Pro Bowl linebacker reported to training camp on Wednesday but had not been practicing. 
 
Wagner was drafted in the second round of the 2012 draft after starring at Utah State.

In his seven seasons with the Seahawks, Wagner has played in 103 regular season games and has recorded 916 combined tackles, 9 interceptions and 16.5 sacks.  
 
Wagner, Russell Wilson and K.J. Wright are the only remaining players from the Seahawks 2013-2014 Super Bowl team. Click here to see photos from the parade.
