Mariners sweep A’s in fourth straight comeback win on the road

The Seattle Mariners completed their second sweep of the season, coming back (again) to defeat the Athletics, 5-3.

The A’s took the initial lead in the bottom of 2nd, with a home run to right field by JJ Bleday, but the Mariners struck quickly with their own 2-run home run by Taylor Trammell in the top of the 3rd.

A three-run top of the 4th sealed the deal for the Mariners and the A’s weren’t able to build their own comeback.

The Mariners ended up with seven hits and a season-high seven walks, including a bases-loaded walk in the fourth.

Mariners pitcher George Kirby went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs and striking out 2.

The Mariners return to T-Mobile Park to play the Houston Astros Friday at 7:10 p.m.
