SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane International Airport was temporarily closed Tuesday morning after a United Airlines flight slid off the runway.
The Boeing 737 was headed to Denver when it slid off the runway about 6 a.m.
The area is seeing freezing rain, but it's not clear if that was a factor in the incident.
A passenger on the plane said the plane took an “odd turn,” slid off the runway and slammed into a snowbank.
No one was hurt.
