WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Two men with felony convictions escaped from a Virginia mental hospital on Sunday, authorities said.
According to Virginia State Police spokesperson Michelle Anaya, Austin Preston Leigh, 31, and Bryant Marcus Wilkerson, 29, escaped from the Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, WTVR-TV reported.
Leigh has outstanding drug-related warrants out of Chesapeake and one for escaping a mental facility, the television station reported. Wilkerson is wanted on a felony probation violation and also has a warrant for escaping a mental facility.

Officials said both men are considered armed and dangerous, WAVY-TV reported.
Eastern State Hospital is the nation’s first psychiatric hospital and opened in 1773, according to WTVR. It is one of five state-run mental hospitals in Virginia, the television station reported.
