LAYTON, Utah — A Utah man told police he killed a woman he met Saturday night on a Tinder date, authorities said Sunday.
Ethan Hunsaker, 24, of Layton, was charged with one count of first-degree murder, the Layton Police Department said in a news release.
According to police, Hunsaker called police at 3:19 a.m., “reporting having killed a person inside his residence,” the news release said.
Officers found a 25-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds to her torso, the Deseret News reported.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, KSL reported.
Hunsaker was arrested without incident, police said. He told police he met the woman the night before on Tinder, a dating app.
“The motive behind this homicide is under further investigation; however, the attack appeared to be unprovoked,” the police department said in its news release.
