Deputies discover trick filled with 18,000 pounds of stolen toilet paper

WHITSETT, N.C. — A truck that had been reported stolen was recovered Wednesday and was filled with 18,000 pounds of toilet paper and other commercial paper products, investigators said.

Deputies started following a tractor-trailer to a warehouse facility for a motor vehicle violation, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies learned it was stolen and hauling the pilfered paper products.

Deputies are continuing to investigate. No arrests have been made yet.
