Team Fluff won its second straight Puppy Bowl on Sunday, taking a 87-83 victory against Team Ruff in the first overtime game in the series’ history.

The annual event, now in its 19th year and produced by Animal Planet, features rescue dogs, CNN reported. Some are still waiting to be adopted, and the competition helps draw attention to the pups and the shelters that give them a home.

This year’s event featured 122 dogs from 67 different shelters and rescue organizations nationwide, according to Bleacher Report. It was also the first time a Native American rescue organization was featured, the website reported.

Some of the pups have already been adopted since the show is pretaped. Those who are still available for adoption are featured on Discovery’s website, CNN reported.

Team Ruff gave it a good try in the final that aired Sunday, rallying from a 31-point deficit in the second half. But Vivian, a bulldog mix from southern Colorado, scored the game’s final touchdown by grabbing a green turtle toy and taking it to the house, er, doghouse. The dog’s romp into the end zone was the winning score, according to CNN.

“Ruff-eree” Dan Schachner presented the trophy to Team Fluff captain Majesty, a purebred corgi from Florida.

Dogs earn points by dragging chew toys into the end zones.

Not to be outdone, cats also played a role.

There was a feline halftime show. Rescue kittens took the stage, including special guest Furianna, CNN reported.

There was no word about whether Furianna was pregnant.

According to Animal Planet, every puppy and kitten ever featured in previous Puppy Bowls has found a home since the show debuted in 2005, CNN reported.
