MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Tennessee man has been charged with murder after his wife died on their honeymoon in Fiji, officials say.
According to WHBQ, authorities claim that Bradley Robert Dawson, 38, murdered his wife, Christe Chen Dawson, 36, while on their honeymoon at a resort in the Yasawa Islands.
WHBQ spoke with Bradley’s attorney on Monday who said Christe’s body was found inside of a hotel room but was unable to confirm how she died. The attorney also maintained Bradley’s innocence when speaking with WHBQ.
Bradley’s employer, Youth Villages, which is a nonprofit for children, confirmed to WHBQ that Bradley has been suspended from his role as an IT professional due to the police investigation.
Bradley’s attorney told WHBQ that he is trying to get a bond for Bradley, who is due in court in Fiji on July 27. Bradley has been charged with murder.
No further information has been released.
