ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — At least four people are dead and eight others are being treated for injuries after a shuttle van overturned early Friday in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, officials said.

According to WPIX-TV and WABC-TV, the incident occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. EDT along the Palisades Parkway. Police said a Ford Econoline E350 van tipped over and crashed into the median, trapping 12 people inside. Crews pronounced four people dead and rushed the eight others, whose wounds ranged from minor to severe, to nearby hospitals, the news outlets reported.
Police said the van was transporting upstate New York factory employees, according to WABC.
Authorities have not released the victims’ names and are still trying to determine what caused the crash, the news outlets reported.
