LAS VEGAS — Surprise!
Employees of a Las Vegas hotel and casino cheered Wednesday when they learned each worker would receive a $5,000 bonus, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ president and CEO, Bill McBeath, made the announcement Wednesday during a company event at the Chelsea theater.

Each of the 5,000 workers will receive a bonus from the hotel’s owner, Blackstone, which announced last fall that it is selling the resort for $5.65 billion, the Review-Journal reported. MGM Resorts International will take over the resort’s operations after agreeing to pay $1.6 billion, according to the newspaper.
Two employees also were awarded free vacations during Wednesday’s event, KVVU reported.
