Matthew John Colasanti, 34, of Radcliff, who operated Colasanti Chiropractic in Elizabethtown, was sentenced after he was convicted on charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual assault, WLKY-TV reported.

Colasanti also will be required to register as a sex offender for 20 years, according to his sentence.

Colasanti was arrested in December 2020 on the charges and was indicted in March 2021, The News-Enterprise of Elizabethtown reported.

The allegations, involving two female minors, are reported to have occurred between April 2020 and November 2020, according to the newspaper.

One minor told police that Colasanti offered to give her a back adjustment on Nov. 25, 2020, and then raped her while she was lying face-down on a table, WLKY reported.

The girl jumped off an examination table and ran into a bathroom “until another adult employee came into the office so she could leave,” an arrest citation stated.

The other minor said that Colasanti touched her inappropriately while adjusting her back during visits from April through June 2020, according to the television station.

Colasanti also pleaded guilty to sexual abuse in another case, according to Hardin County Detention Center online records. He will be formally sentenced on that charge on Nov. 15.
