MARCY, N.Y. — A goat was rescued after it got stuck beneath an overpass Wednesday afternoon.
A driver saw the goat standing in a grassy area along the Marcy-Suny Parkway and stopped and approached it around 4:30 p.m. causing it to run under the bridge, WETM reported.
Police and firefighters were able to safely secure the animal, WKTV reported.
“I got flagged down to chase a goat up the road, crossed the guardrail a couple of times, then he started going down by the bridge," firefighter Chris Reid told WKTV. “And when he started going down there (by the bridge), I jumped on him and stopped him in his tracks so he wouldn’t go no farther.”
