Gene Simmons became the second member of Kiss to test positive for COVID-19, causing the rock ‘n’ roll band to cancel the next four dates on its North American tour.
Simmons, 72, made the announcement Tuesday, which impacted four dates on the band’s End of the Road tour.
“Gene Simmons has now tested positive and is experiencing mild symptoms,” the band tweeted Tuesday. “The band and crew will remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days and doctors have indicated the tour should be able to resume on Sept. 9 at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, California.”

Lead singer Paul Stanley announced on Thursday that he had tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the band to cancel shows in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia, Rolling Stone reported.
Stanley tweeted Monday that he was feeling better, but admitted that the virus had taken some steam out of him.
According to the band’s tweet, the most recent postponed dates were for shows in Clarkston, Michigan, on Wednesday; Dayton, Ohio, on Thursday; Tinley Park, Illinois, on Saturday; and Milwaukee on Sunday.
All purchased tickets will be honored when the shows are rescheduled, the band said.
Simmons, meanwhile, told Rolling Stone in a recent interview that people should get vaccinated.
“I would highly recommend for everybody to get two Pfizer or Moderna shots, please -- for the rest of us,” Simmons told the magazine. “Even if you believe the Earth is flat, it’s not.”
Simmons was even more emphatic in an interview he did with KLOS, Billboard reported.
“Always listen to the CDC and the doctors -- not stupid politicians,” Simmons told the radio station.
