As the number of coronavirus cases spike in Texas, several members of the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans have apparently tested positive for COVID-19.

Among the players who have the illness is Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, CBS Sports reported.

He is asymptomatic, but was tested as a precaution, CBS Sports reported.

Agent Rocky Arceneaux broke the news to NFL Network, ESPN reported.

None of the Cowboy players have been at the team’s facility during the offseason. One player who had flu-like symptoms last week was feeling better, ESPN reported.

The Cowboys said it could not speak on the health of any employee.

Recently the NFL sent a memo to teams spelling out safety measures for locker rooms and social distancing, CBS News reported.

Both teams have been following correct health protocols, NFL Network reported.
