MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. — A South Carolina city relied on Chick-fil-A’s drive-through logistics expertise after a technical issue caused problems at a vaccination site.
Mount Pleasant Mayor Wil Haynie invited the town’s Chick-fil-A manager to help coordinate vaccination efforts after a computer issue caused issues for those trying to schedule their shot, WSB-TV reported.
“We asked local Chick-Fil-A manager Jerry Walkowiak for help today after a computer glitch backed up things at a drive-through vaccination site,” Haynie said.
Standing in the rain and wearing a mask, Walkowiak can be seen in a video helping drivers through the line quickly and efficiently.
