‘Another World’ actress Robyn Griggs dead at 49

Actress Robyn Griggs, who appeared on soap opera series such as “Another World” and “One Life to Live,” has died, according to a post on her official Facebook page on Saturday. She was 49.

Griggs had been fighting cervical cancer and had posted updates about her condition on social media, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Last month, Griggs posted that she had been diagnosed with four new tumors, according to the entertainment news website.

Griggs made her soap opera debut as Stephanie Hobart on “One Life to Live” in April 1991 and appeared in six episodes, according to Two years later, she played the role of Maggie Cory in 21 episodes of “Another World.” She was featured in the series from 1993 to 1995, according to

Griggs was born on April 30, 1973, in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She worked in children’s theater productions before landing a role on Nickelodeon’s “Rated K” from 1986 to 1988.

Griggs also appeared in films, starring in “Severe Injuries” (2003), “Dead Clowns” (2004), “The Absence of Light” (2006) and “Hellweek (2010),” according to

“I think acting on the soaps taught me so much discipline,” she said during a 2021 interview with Call Me Adam. “I feel it helped me realize that I can give any role a go, as long as I took the time to understand that particular character.”

In 2020, Griggs was diagnosed with Stage 4 endocervical adeno cancer. According to her Facebook page, Griggs entered hospice care on Thursday.
