Aaron Rodgers engaged? NFL’s 2020 MVP thanks ‘fiancee’ in acceptance speech

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers stole the show during Saturday night’s 10th annual “NFL Honors,” and it had nothing to do with claiming the third MVP title of his career.

During his acceptance speech for the league’s most valuable player of 2020, Rodgers casually announced he’s engaged, CBS Sports reported.

“2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hairs scraped, playing for very little fans,” Rodgers, 37, said. “I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career.”

Moments later, Rodgers thanked his “fiancee” without mentioning her by name.

News of the pending nuptials comes just days after multiple sources confirmed to People magazine that Rodgers has been dating “Big Little Lies” actress Shailene Woodley, 29.

Rodgers most recently dated former race car driver Danica Patrick, but their two-year relationship ended in July. He was previously romantically linked with actress Olivia Munn.

According to CBS Sports, Rodgers won his first MVP award for the 2011 season, the same year he led the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He earned his second title in 2014.
