FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Long lines were reported across metro Atlanta as Georgians went to the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in the 2018 midterm elections.
The long lines were due to higher than usual voter turnout for a midterm election, but in Fulton County, the trouble resulted from the county using fewer voter machines.
WSB-TV learned that 700 voting machines in Fulton County remained sequestered due to a pending paper ballot lawsuit.
The county has about 2,000 machines in use and is down to 40 spare machines.
