Three RVs burn in Fife area off I-5

FIFE, Wash. — Three large luxury RVs caught fire and  burned in the Fife area off Interstate 5 early Thursday.

Department of Transportation cameras showed flames and smoke billowing into the sky at about 4 a.m.

The RVs are parked at Fife RV Center in the 3700 block of Pacific Highway.

The flames were contained by firefighters.

News crews were moved back from the scene by authorities who were concerned about plastic fumes coming from the fire.

It is not yet known how the fire started.

Tacoma fire said one motorhome was badly damaged while the other two were exposed to flames.
